About The Black-Eyed Susan Come Visit Us! The Black-Eyed Susan, an authentic paddlewheel driven riverboat, was built in Greenville, Mississippi. She undoubtedly offers the finest dining on the water, reminiscent of the early era of dining on the water. Since the year 2000, this beautiful and exclusive charter boat has enhanced the attraction of Baltimore's skyline, and provided a warm and outstanding venue for private and corporate entertaining. The Black-Eyed Susan is U.S. Coast Guard certified for 149 passengers, in addition to 20 crew, staff and support personnel. It is the successor of our first dinner boat, the Harbor Belle, which cruised the Inner Harbor from 1994 through 1998. The legacy of the Harbor Belle, acclaimed during that time to have the finest food and service on the water, continues to be offered aboard the larger, more exquisite, Black-Eyed Susan. The Black-Eyed-Susan provides a state of the art audio system.
The Black-Eyed-Susan is 111.5 feet long and 28 feet wide. The Victorian-style interior of the main deck has comfortable seating for up to 149 guests at round tables in a fully climatized dining room. The luxuriously appointed salon includes a hand-rubbed oak bar, 9' high ceilings, and brass sconces mounted between picture windows framed by elegant treatments. The upper deck, perfect for a wedding ceremony for all your guests, is canopied with fold down clear Lexan sides for inclement weather and the colder months. Heat is provided for your comfort during the winter months. Complete restrooms are available on both our main and upper decks. The Black-Eyed Susan is the largest passenger vessel of its class cruising the Baltimore Harbor. She is handicap accessible. The Black-Eyed Susan is available for cruises seven days a week. It is ideal for weddings, rehearsal dinners, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, proms, banquets, corporate functions and crab feasts. The food and service is provided by our own catering company. We emphasize Southern Hospitality in a warm atmosphere. The Black-Eyed Susan is docked at The Baltimore Marine Center at Lighthouse Point in Canton. Parking is available on site, and off-site parking is also available. We can board your guests at the Maryland Science Center in Harborplace, Pier 5 Hotel and Broadway Pier in Fells Point. The Black-Eyed Susan will be an outstanding setting for the special event or occasion that you are planning. Please call our office for any additional information. Our marketing consultants can customize a package to meet your special requirements. We extend to you an invitation to "step aboard."
